City seeks volunteers for Planning and Zoning Board

The city of Port St. Lucie is accepting applications for two voluntary positions on the Planning and Zoning Board.

Applicants must have been residents of the city for at least one year. Members serve on a voluntary basis and are subject to the provisions of the Florida Sunshine Law, which requires board members to file a Statement of Financial Interests.

The positions open are for one at-large member and one regular member.

Some of the duties of the board are to make recommendations on development proposals, zoning changes and other matters affecting the physical development of the city. Members also may serve on one or more committees of the board, which make recommendations to the City Council. Board meetings generally are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 1:30 p.m.

Completed applications must be submitted to the City Clerk’s office at City Hall by 5 p.m. on March 30. The address is 121 S.W. Port St. Lucie Blvd., Port St. Lucie, 34984. They can be emailed to CHeintz@cityofpsl.com.
